Clubs & Groups – more information

Autumn Leaves – This is the club for older people, primarily from the village.  Meetings are bi-weekly on Thursday afternoons, 2.00 – 4.00pm.  A wide range of events & activities  take place, including some outings, full details on program page.  To join please contact contact Pat Doel on 01225 761400.

Art classes- A friendly and informal series of lessons using a wide range of techniques and materials.  Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience, come and explore – you will get plenty of guidance, encouragement and support. Jos Blake is a fully qualified art teacher and has over 20 years experience teaching art in schools and the community to children and adults.  In addition to weekly classes, Jos organises trips for students.   Classes are held on Wednesdays at 10am – 12 and 12.30 – 2.30pm cost £48 per six week block of 2 hour lessons contact Jos Blake on 07769186234 jospinto4@googlemail.com for more information or to book your place.

Computer class – North Bradley Peace Memorial Hall is a registered Online Centre no 3421178, offering basic web-based learning and other help and advice as required.  A small but enthusiastic and helpful team of volunteers  are available on Tuesdays 10.30 to 12.00 and for a suggested donation of £3, adults of all abilities are invited to attend.   We are currently working with Carer Support Wiltshire and would like to encourage all carers to attend, we may be able to help with transport in some circumstances.  To reserve a place, 01225 765644 or pbaxter70@yahoo.com.  There is no minimum or maximum amount of sessions, attend as often as you need.  You are also welcome to bring your own laptop and come along to surf the internet etc, help is  available if you get stuck!  For more information see the web site

Floral Art – The Trowbridge branch was founded in 1957.  The Club meets on the 3rd Monday of each month.  Meetings are open from 7pm so that Club members and visitors can enjoy a coffee/tea and the opportunity to browse the Plant and Sales tables.  Demonstrations and activities start at 7.30pm.  Our meetings and activities include:

  • Demonstrations by NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies) registered demonstrators, with the opportunity to win the flower arrangements they create.
  • Floral Art demonstrations by Club members
  • “Fun with Flowers” evenings where we create our own arrangements
  • Visits to local gardens
  • Fund raising and social events, such as coffee evenings and cream teas.

Latin/Disco Dance – Classes are organised & led by qualified coach Jackie Kendall who can be contacted on 01225 765918.

Toddler Group – Meets on Friday mornings (term time only) 10.00 – 11.30. The cost is 1.50 for first child plus 50p for each subsequent child.  All pre-school aged children and babies are welcome. For the adults we offer tea, biscuits and a chance to meet and chat with other parents/carers. For the children there is play time, craft activities, drink and a snack and singing.  The group is run by the parents and carers so new ideas and a helping hand are always welcome.  For anyone wanting to come along there is no need to phone in advance however should anyone want any further information they can contact Debbie Hughes on 01225 710545

WI  Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday in the month at 7.30 pm in the Peace Memorial Hall.  Enquiries to President Shirley Kemp 01225 352333.  Annual Subscription payable, but visitors are very welcome @ just £3.  We have a speaker or demonstration every month and a competition, full details on program page. There are opportunities for visiting other local W.I. meetings.
